Helping You Help Yourself
- Services Offered -
At Pivot Behavioral Health, we provide evidence-based, behavioral medicine services at three different levels of care: outpatient psychotherapy, guided self-help, and peer support group. We use the available research to give you the care you need to make real, lasting change in your life. In-person services are offered at our Lakeview East office, 611 W Briar Pl, Ste 6, Chicago, IL 60657 and telehealth services are offered through a secure online platform.
Outpatient Psychotherapy
Some people need more traditional forms of psychotherapy because they are experiencing a diagnosable mental or behavioral health disorder. The focus of appointments is to identify and break old and unhelpful patterns of thinking, feeling, acting, and attending, and develop new skills. You'll practice skills in and between appointments. currently available
Guided Self-Help
This is a structured, brief form of psychotherapy. You work through a self-help workbook based on cognitive behavioral therapies. Through regular check-in appointments with a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and routine outcome monitoring, you'll get the care you need to overcome obstacles along the way. currently enrolling pilot participants
Peer Support Group
Not everyone needs psychotherapy. Some people just want to develop healthy habits and prevent future problems. Led by a professional trained in habit formation, you and your peers will work towards developing these habits by sharing tips, learning what Atomic Habits are, and meeting regularly to support one another. currently available
- Presenting Problems -
For our guided self-help and outpatient psychotherapy services, we address the following problems: depression, anxiety, insomnia, binge eating, nicotine use, and chronic pain. Our peer support group is not intended as treatment for these problems. However, forming healthy habits can help prevent these problems from developing, especially if they are related to eating, sleeping, exercising, socializing, and relaxing.
